Have you ever done a Google search for a product you’re interested in?

I know I have, and I’m sure you have too.

In fact, I’m pretty certain every single person who’ve got access to the net has at one point or another.

So why am I bringing this up?

Well it’s simple, there’s some extremely unethical marketing practices I think you should be aware of.

In fact, I touched on this very briefly in my Evergreen Wealth Formula review but I thought it would be better if I go more in-depth as some people are simply not aware of this.

So what is it?

Well, to boil it down to it’s simplest form: the vast majority of these reviews you find in Google… Are lying to you.

First up, most of these guys don’t have access to the products they review.

What they do instead is simply look up other reviews for these products and use the information from those reviews for their own reviews.

The problem with this – apart form lying to their audience about having access to the said product – is that most, if not all of the reviews are fake to begin with.

So most of these reviews these “reviewers” are researching are inaccurate in the first place, and obviously, this leads to their reviews been wildly inaccurate too.

The end result: the more fake reviews that appear, the more the information changes over time – making the latest round of fake reviews even less accurate than the round that preceded it.

Now if you think that’s bad, this is where it gets really sinister…

You see, most of these fake reviewers don’t care whether the information in their reviews are accurate or not.

This is because their whole plan is not to educate you, but to “bait and switch” you to another product instead.

And yes, you guessed it, they’re affiliated to this program they’re trying to bait and switch you to – meaning they get a commission for each sign up.

This is popular tactic used by the affiliates of a program called Wealthy Affiliate.

If you want to see this in action, just Google any internet marketing product and you’ll see Google awash with these fake reviews, trying to bait and switch you to the Wealthy Affiliate program.

Also, a lot of these guys will literally call the program they’re “reviewing” a scam.

Not only is this a scam in itself (lying for financial gain is the definition of scam, remember) but they’re also damaging the product vendor’s reputation and brand in the process.

But these guys don’t care – just as long they get their commissions, everything is gravy, right.

In fact, this is something I noticed when I did my Evergreen Wealth Formula review….

There was tons of these fake reviews bashing the product vendor and the course itself.

And it’s a shame as it’s a superb course but most people will never know as they’ll be deterred by these fake reviews.

This is why I showed my Paypal receipt as I wanted to prove this was a genuine review from someone who actually has access to the product. 

I just wanted to give you the heads up on this as there’s tons of these fake reviews out there – especially for internet marketing products.

So whenever you’re Googling reviews, just keep in mind what I’ve said and you shouldn’t fall foul to these deceitful marketing practices.
